Jing sent me this photo of her latest jam painting work this morning. New Oriental closed early last year, apparent for some on-campus construction work. This did not provide extra vacation for the students, however. For most of December, Jing was busy at home, doing projects for school, and creating PowerPoint decks to share her work with the class in lieu of in-person evaluation. Trying to attend cooking classes by remote learning really put a strain on her available time, but now she is back in school and working on recipes for My Chinese Home Kitchen.

In January Jing was able to return to Guangxi, and spend time with her sister’s family.
Jing is working on a delicious stuffed pepper recipe, and she sent me the first draft this morning. We hope to be able to publish this later this week.
