On International Women’s Day, 2021, Jing and I started My Chinese Home Kitchen. March 8, 2023 marks our second anniversary publishing articles about Chinese cuisine, recipes and culture.

In March 2021, Jing traveled to Shanghai for the first time to sign her contract with the employment agency, receive her laptop, and get some training for using MS Office and Teams.
While there, she took photos and notes for the first articles we published: A trip to Shanghai, The History of Yu Garden.
Now she is finishing her second year of culinary school at New Oriental Cooking School in Hefei, Anhui. She is beginning to plan her next steps after graduation.

Thank you all for your support! This project has played an important part in helping Jing to find confidence in her abilities and to complete her education.
