Hey, today we’re going to make a weird dish! Why is it a strange dish? Because it has some ingredients that some people can’t accept. In Cabbage and Egg Soup, we don’t just use chicken eggs. This soup contains fresh chicken eggs, preserved duck eggs, and salted duck eggs. Maybe these eggs sound strange to you, but the soup tastes really delicious.

In the West, they can be found in Asian markets, or ordered online. Cabbage and Egg Soup
Equipment
- 1 wok
- 1 slotted spoon
Ingredients
Main Ingredients:
- 1 Napa cabbage, small
Accessory Ingredients:
- 1 fresh chicken egg
- 1 preserved duck egg
- 1 salted duck egg
- 2 slices fresh ginger
- 4 tsp oil
Seasonings:
- salt (to taste)
- ½ tsp sugar, white (granulated)
- 2 tsp Chicken broth
Instructions
Preparation
- Wash the cabbage. Peel the ginger. Peel the preserved egg.
- Peel the salted egg.
- Slice the cabbage. preserved eggs, and salted eggs. Slice the ginger and garlic. Beat the fresh egg.
Cooking
- Blanch the cabbage, then scoop it out and set it aside.1 Napa cabbage, small
- Pour out the water from the wok.
- Add 20ml (4 teaspoons) of oil to the wok, add the ginger and saute until fragrant. Add enough water to half the height of the cabbage (do not cover it with water), then add the preserved eggs and salted eggs, and bring to a boil over high heat. Season with salt, sugar, and chicken broth.1 preserved duck egg, 1 salted duck egg, 2 slices fresh ginger, 4 tsp oil, salt (to taste), 2 tsp Chicken broth, 1/2 tsp sugar, white (granulated)
- Put the cabbage in the broth and cook for 1 minute, then remove it and put it in a bowl.
- Add the beaten egg mixture in a thin stream into the boiling broth. Return to a boil. Finally, pour the soup over the cabbage.1 fresh chicken egg
Notes
- When choosing a serving dish, choose one that has some depth. The finished recipe is served in the broth, but the broth should not completely cover the cabbage.
