My niece likes to eat pudding. She hopes that I can try to make pudding so that she can eat pudding at any time. A child who likes to eat pudding wants to eat pudding: this is normal. So after trying to make pudding, I summarized this family version of the pudding recipe. If your family also has children who like pudding, or you like pudding, you can try to make Chinese Mango Pudding yourself.
Dice the mango and spread it flat on the bottom of the container, such as a glass baking dish.
1 mango
Pour the milk into the pot, add white sugar and Bailiangfen, turn on a low heat, and stir until the white sugar melts. Do not boil the milk.
2.25 cups whole milk, 2 tablespoons sugar, white (granulated), .75 oz unflavored Bailiangfen (Gelatin)
When the sugar is melted, pour the liquid into a container with mangoes.
Remove the floating foam on the surface, cover the baking dish, and put it in the refrigerator for 3 hours.
Then you can put some slices of mango on the solidified pudding.
1 mango
Notes
If you prefer, you can use pudding cups instead of a baking dish.
Bailiangfen is a specialty of Guangxi. Its main ingredients are glucose and powdered gelatin. Bailangfen is a plant-based gelatin, not animal based, and you may be able to find it at Asian specialty stores in the West. You can substitute pudding powder or gelatin powder instead of Bailiangfen.
If using unflavored, unsweetened gelatin, such as Knox in place of the Bailingfen, add more sugar to your taste.
You can use the fruits you like.
Pure milk is not sweet. If you like sweeter pudding, please add the amount of sugar you want after trying the taste.
